    It’s a brushless hard drive motor, those things are designed to run 24/7 for very long periods of time.

    Only thing I would have changed on this I wouldn’t have used brushes to transmit power to the board, a transformer-like arrangement with a stationary and a moving coils of wire would provide much greater reliability.
