FYI I own both systems and my 60GB PS3 launch is still kicking. However I have 2 PS3s that belong to my friends that need to get either the YLOD or blu ray player fixed. The 360 is actually easier to take apart and reassemble than the PS3. That blu ray cable is too short and a b!tch to put back together. Oh well time to put another movie in the 360…..going for 4 hours as I hardly ever use my 360 anyway….
I did this and i still got the rrod a week later. I opened it up and put the old “bandages” back on and it works for now. Just taking it apart and putting it back together takes away the rrod tempararily.
Great!!! Just got a 2006 model of ebay because I sent my working 360 to my cousins and the occasional 2 red lights that the seller stated came on every 10 minutes….. Decided to try this out since I only paid $45 for the ebay item and 2.5 hours later its still playing!!!!
