Hi, when we make cakes, sometimes we had bad experiences, we learn from that and that happened to me in the past, when you make any kind of cake be sure to put a good base into the each cake you are going to put another one over it. I take a plastic cup in the middle of the cake then I put the base for the other cake and so on, once I had a very bad experience, all the cakes fall down because the base it was not to strong. if you want more information you can go to this site: baking911.com...

Get a Wilton decorating book. It will tell you all need and they sell the tools supplies you will need. Do not let them sell you paper supports. They were out of wood dowels one time and convinced me that it was ok to use paper dowels....OMG! the cake started to tilt!
The paper dowels started to bend and was nearly a disaster! Thanks goodness it was just before time to cut the cake...

If you do not carefully stretch your fondant, easing it around the curves at the bottom of tier, you will have a bunched up mess. The trick is to get it thick enough that when you put it on there is room for it to stretch without tearing. I hope you put butter cream underneath.
