Sharon Sarmiento asked: re doing article marketing I know it’s easy to get completely stumped on what to write about, but this article will teach you 7 ways to generate interesting article topics that your readers want to read about, and publishers want to publish! (And that’s the idea, right?) 1) Put yourself in your target market’s shoes. Ask yourself, “What are the 10 questions my customers most frequently ask me?”, then write articles to satisfy each of these questions. Listen to your customers–there are no silly questions! If one person is asking, then there are probably many more people who are wondering the same thing. You are writing to serve the needs of your target market, so why not let them direct the topic of your articles? 2) Go to the bookstore and look at the magazines in your niche. Look at the titles listed on the cover of the magazine. Those titles are crafted to attract attention, to stand out to folks who are interested in that topic, and those titles can give you great inspiration for your articles. Note: Don’t read the article and then try to craft an article using someone else’s article as inspiration–don’t do [...]

Scrapper asked: Youtube- They aren’t the only one’s to use those videos Youtube is a revolutionary Internet site that allows people to put movies of theirs on the web. However, apparently some people apparently thought this to mean cram as much vile content on it as possible. In fact, there is a site that uses youtube videos for what it calls “HOT-FUNNY-VIDEO”. On this site, there are: over 25 pages on the keyword strip (albeit the word leaves a lot of options, but there was more than enough smut), over 25 pages for porn, over 25 on ***. Under the search box is a small list of recent searches, and when I looked up baseball, I found that people had searched for: girls being bad, panty panties, thick ass, lingerie, and ***. That makes you feel good, doesn’t it? The ironic thing about this site is that even though it’s called “hot-funny-video” and you would therefore be a little suspicious, it also has videos like a Backstreet-Boys music video and India vs. Pakistan cricket highlights. So what if a minor is looking for a Baskstreet-Boys music video and comes across the site, then he notices titles like: “Is this *** [...]

Steve Shaw asked: The most frequent question I get from authors is “What should I write about?”When you’re doing article marketing, that question is easily answered–write a ‘How To’ article! The ‘How To’ article is the perfect medium for an article that teaches readers, pleases publishers, and appeals to Google. Here are 5 of the best reasons why you should make your next article a ‘How To’:1) How To articles are educational articles.Probably the most “popular” reason for an article being declined is what publisher’s call “promotional” or “self-serving” content. That means that the article toots the horn of the author rather than providing objective and useful information to the reader. This is something that you want to avoid! The trick to writing educational articles is to save your promotional information for your resource box and focus on writing ‘How To’ articles. It’s very difficult to turn a “How To’ article into a self-serving one because typically your energy is focused on teaching your reader something that will benefit them rather than you.The bright spot is that in writing for your readers (rather than to make a sale) you receive benefits as well!2) ‘How To’ articles show readers that you’re an expert. When you’re writing a [...]

Deepak Dutta asked: The popularity of social video sites like YouTube, Yahoo Video, iFilm, blinkx is undeniable. YouTube alone receives more than 65,000 video uploads and plays 100 million clips every day. By 2010, video enthusiasts will consume 44 billion user generated video clips. This represents 55% of all the video content viewed by US consumers. In the future, user generated videos may even end up on your television screen through the cables and satellites. YouTube has already announced incorporating the revenue sharing possibility with the creators of these video streams. Other sites may follow soon. You will be able to monetize your video contents and allow others to discover your skills and talents for better jobs or other lucrative offerings. To maximize the impact of your creativity, you need to know the kind of contents you have to produce and effectively present those contents in the video sharing sites. The social video optimization is not about optimizing your videos for high search engine ranking (SEO). It is about making your videos for others to enjoy and learn from (providing benefits to people) and publishing those videos in social video and social media websites for viewers to easily discover, bookmark, and [...]

Michael Small asked: Since the day Tim O’Reilly (founder of O’Reilly Media) first used the term “Web 2.0″ rumors have flown faster than fact could catch up. Within weeks there were dozens of so called “definitions.” So what is Web 2.0? It’s really just a concept. Web 2.0 is the idea that the Internet can be used for bigger business than viewing simple Websites and sending email, if the right technologies are employed. Chances are you’ve been using Web 2.0 technology for a couple years already via shared multi media, social networking, and online collaboration sites.Primary tools of Web 2.0 include video sharing sites such as YouTube; Wiki sites like Wikipedia; blogs and various “live face” technologies. We will cover 3 of the quickest, easiest ways to optimize for Web 2.0, beginning with blogs.1.) SEO for BlogsOptimizing a blog is one of the absolute best ways to capture Google’s most coveted top spots very quickly. You can hit number 1 on Google in a matter of days. Here’s how you do it…a.) First, find a good blogging tool. There are plenty out there. I use WordPress (http://www.WordPress.org.) I originally picked it because it was so quick and easy to setup. [...]
